Soulmates - A Closer Look At The Actual Meaning

Soulmates - a closer look at the actual meaning

As a psychic/ spiritual therapist, you can imagine the word soulmate gets used often, well daily in fact. What does it actually really mean? As usual there are many definitions which overlap each other. The Oxford English Dictionary states this: A person ideally suited to another as a close friend or romantic partner. However it is more than this. The other day a client asked me to give the best and most positive definition of it and this is what I said to him; "A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are."

Here are the most popular signs of a True Soul-Mate:

•Instant magnetism that you BOTH share but cannot always explain
•Unexplainable feeling of connection that is very deep right from the start.
•A calm atmosphere, and inner calm.
•There is instant trust
•There is instant lifting of spirit
•There is no nervousness
•There are no judgments
•There is patience & encouragement
•You are never made to feel bad or lower than them
•There is great equality/understanding/connection
•You are like-minded
•There is gentleness towards each other.
•This person will also be your best friend
•Will never restrict you
•Loves you for YOU not just your physical appearance

Therefore to summarise a soulmate union is about acceptance, self-love, patience and honesty.  Your heart needs to be open and you need to have found peace about yourself within yourself.  Soulmates accept one another for who and what they are without question or judgement. Your Soul Mate is someone to grow with. This doesn't come easy. They are going to challenge you in many ways, and that's ok. Don't write off your relationship because it's difficult at times--understand that the difficultly is an opportunity for you grow.

The next time you start to question whether or not you have a soul mate, take a look at the person or people you that you feel connected & closest too. They are your soul mates. Quoting Jung once again, know that "in all disorder there is a secret order."

True Soulmates are in your life are here to help you become a better person, to expand and grow in love.
