Coconut Oil

Written by  | 1st March 2016
There are a multitude of beneficial , Holistic uses for Coconut Oil. Easily found in Health food store, and commercial chains, Coconut presents benefits a lot of people do not know. I am touching on  mere fraction of Coconut Oil uses, online there are many, many, more.

I use Coconut Oil everyday , skin moisturizer, dental,  hair “de-frizzer” and nails.

Use of skin moisturizer- Apply to dry skin. Coconut Oil has natural moisturizing elements that re-vitalize your skin.

Nails- before I apply nail polish, I dab a bit of coconut oil on each nail and let it sit.  I rub it in the nails and the rest I use on my hands and arms. My nails are much stronger and do not break anywhere a much as they used too. Yes, I will break a nail time and again but not as often. Now I spend more time trimming and shaping my finger nails.

Hair- I am a Yank living in Florida and humidity with my hair, Yikes!!! I use  a lot of hair different hair products in my hair to help control the frizz. Dab a bit of coconut oil in your hands and run a comb or brush  through your hair. Be careful not to use too much in your hair or it  will look greasy and when you lean back on something it will leave a  spot. I found out the hard way on the last one!! I still will use some hair spray but not nearly as much as before .

Dental- After brushing and flossing I place a bit of Coconut Oil on my toothbrush and re-brush my teeth and gums. Some say you can hold the Coconut Oil in your mouth for 10 min or so swishing it around. Personally I would rather brush my teeth and gums with it. Do not swallow the coconut oil but do not eject it in the sink, it will clog the pipe over time, use the water closet. I learned that one the hard way too!

The above is my personal experience. Everybody is different, their tastes, results and so on. This is not medical advice, just a bit of information I found interesting and works for me.
