You are covering up your feelings because you are afraid to delve into your own emotions. By going into yourself you may feel pain for things are not all that they seem. Things are buried. The moon deals with the secrets and restrictions in our life, the things that limit us. The moon is a symbol of time and it reflects our ability to feel connected with the past which of course makes us responsive to the future and the present. This helps us relate to ordinary life and makes us capable of interacting with others. There is a need to give and receive physical affection. There is a need for safety and comfort which can come out in different people in many different ways. For some it is just a longing to feel satisfied by the feeling of contentment that is provided by a loving family or close community. For others it can be work or career which offers an equally valid source of emotional and physical security. For others it is contact with the countryside or a relationship with animals or plants which gives a feeling of connectedness and with some it is to do with religion or spiritual paths or a group with a shared interest on ideals or philosophy. The moon requires us to feel connected with something which is why you are feeling slightly isolated, because you are covering up and burying the emotions that need to come out. Perhaps if things are so difficult there is the need for professional help but an awareness that the past and the present need to be resolved can be easily established by clearing the emotional and mental clutter and dealing with one thing at a time and having that feeling of connectedness.
