For some it's just simply contact with the countryside or a relationship with animals or plants and for others it takes on a religious or spiritual fellowship where you are with a group with a shared ideology or philosophy. Either way, it fulfils our needs. The moon can also make us feel vulnerable and dependent. Sometimes it effects us indirectly and manipulatively. The moon of course is full of illusions and delusions and everything looks strange in the moonlight so the High Priestess makes us look at things differently and strangely and analyse how we feel we connect with other people. It can sometimes make us experience the bad things such as hunger, pain, fear, loneliness. One thing is for sure. The moon reflects our ability to value and look after our ordinary physical and emotional well-being.
