It is about our destiny, temptation in our life and the status and reputation we would like to achieve. It is sometimes known as a card that is greedy but really it is asking you to look at life simply and humbly and to say 'what do I truly want?'. Ask yourself what you are restricting yourself with by saying that you are bound to duties that limit what you can achieve in life. The 4 of Wands is asking you to look at a new home, or to look at your home and make it new. Maybe you need to spend some money on it. The 4 of Wands is about your material security and it shows that the environment around you perhaps needs to change. Whether this is a new property or whether it is the fact that you would like to give the property a new face lift doesn't matter, but it shows that it needs to be positive. A house move is definitely a good idea and if you're thinking of investing in property that is also excellent. So, the Devil is asking you to look at the temptation to change your material security, i.e. your home or the environment around you in some way, for the outcome is indeed very positive if you do it around this time. The Devil card is asking you to look at your own negativity. Sometimes you impose limits on yourself, which is a kind of bondage, where you limit what you do because of fear or financial or materialistic security which means you will never move on, which keeps making you feel that you are limited in what you can do. The Devil is asking you to look at the situation. You've learnt to appreciate life in full and you need to go beyond your own limitations: stop feeling that you are trapped, because if you look closely you're the one that is making you feel that the limitations have to be imposed. This is, of course, your own choice. Look carefully at the things you feel that are holding you back. See if you are blaming the wrong things for your own lack of determination and success. Are these things real or are they self created? If you feel that it is something you've always wanted and that it is something you would like to go ahead with, then cut the ties that bind and go for it. After all, your environment is incredibly important to you and this is an excellent time to think about a new start and a new home.
