You're used to getting your own way and possibly this is control to look at the whole thing as to whether or not you feel that you're trying to control what happens to other people. You must control your emotions and worry about yourself and let other adults look after themselves, don't worry about the outcome for you are not responsible for their actions. Doing something for yourself that gives you some sense of self worth and discipline over your actions and your emotions would be excellent right now.
