Tarot
The tarot is a pack of 78 cards, used from the mid-15th century. Initially used as a card game the tarot has also found use by psychics to help guide people on their spiritual pathway.  The tarot has four suits, each of these suits has pip cards numbering from ace to ten and four face cards (Page, Knight, Queen and King) for a total of 14 cards, these are known as the ‘Minor Arcana’. Psychic
The term psychic comes from the Greek "psychikos" which literally translated means "of the mind".  A psychic reader is a person who has the ability to perceive information hidden from the normal senses through extrasensory perception (ESP), or who is said by others to have such abilities.  Many psychics use other tools of divination such as tarot cards, pendulums and runes etc in association with their psychic ability to perform readings for their clientele.

Mediumship
Mediumship is the term used to describe when a human being is communicating messages passed from the spirits of the dead.  The reader performing this is referred to as a 'Medium' and works as an intermediary between people on the earth plane and those in the spirit world.  The most well known Medium in the UK was a lady called Doris Stokes.

Clairvoyance
The term clairvoyance (from French clair meaning "clear" and voyance meaning "vision") is used to refer to the ability to gain information about an object, person, location or physical event through means other than the known human senses, a form of extra-sensory perception. A person said to have the ability of clairvoyance is referred to as a clairvoyant ("one who sees clearly").
