Chiron’s Effects on Our Lives
Chiron is a planet that goes through one's chart and makes a complete cycle roughly by the time we reach the age of 49 if we start the chart at the point of conception. It's the planet of self-transformation and the healing of old wounds. Unresolved emotional and spiritual wounds often resurface in our 49th year as Chiron finishes it’s cycle. This is what is commonly known as "a midlife crisis". But, look at it another way and a midlife crisis becomes an opportunity to heal.
Chiron makes a prominent appearance in one's chart every 7 years, at the ages of 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42 and 49. Interestingly, these years don’t just align with Chiron, but also a self regenerative process in one's DNA. The return of Chiron in the chart every 7 years is symbolic of growth, cycles and similar to the rings within a tree, within our bodies.
When one is not healed properly over time, every 7 years Chiron will show itself and this can lead to a catastrophic energy shift over time. That is what the midlife crisis is.
The planet of Chiron is represented by the wounded healer and Chiron's placement in one's chart will reflect the one's journey and strive for self-growth and inner-struggle. It is important to acknowledge Chiron’s impact on our inner ability to heal ourselves and uplift our spirits. We must heal whatever emotional scars we have endured from the 7 years prior, so Chiron can release its full momentum of healing for the next cycle to come.
From July 11th - December 15th in 2020, Chiron was in Aries retrograde. Things appeared to be going backwards, in regards to power and wealth - as we saw within the world. However, Chiron has recently propelled forward. Now currently, as of July 2021, Chiron is still in Aries- Direct. Power and wealth are obtainable again - as we see within the state of the world's economy today.
