Spirit Guides
During a recent meditation, I met with one of my spirit guides whose presence I have been aware of for some time. He is a Buddhist monk, in red robes, who looks very much like the current Dalai Lamma with his twinkling smile and spectacles. Full of mischief and joy!
He gave me a large white owl with out-stretched wings and tawny feathers on his chest. This beautiful creature is currently my spirit animal and I am most grateful for this gift of wisdom.
My connection with Eastern philosophies has been growing over the last couple of years with this guide’s influence. I regularly consult the Chinese Oracle called the I Ching, or Book of Changes, and have found a wealth of wisdom and guidance within its pages.
I have also found myself drawn to Kuan Yin, the many-armed Goddess of Compassion. In South East Asia, China and Japan her shrines and temples are very popular. To consult her, you pull a numbered bamboo stick. This number, from 1 – 100, correspondences to a poem containing the answer to your question and gives compassionate guidance to help you with your issue. She answers with unconditional love and patience and teaches us the same.
