My Favourite Cards

The cards I use are based on the original deck of cards used by Madame Lenormand, a famous French psychic during the Napoleonic era.

It is rumoured that Madame Lenormand was the one to tell Napoleon never to divorce Empress Josephine, however he did divorce her and (as predicted by Madame Lenormand) he was never happy again. Even after remarrying, he wished he could undo the divorce and it’s rumoured that he even called for Josephine as he passed away. The moral of that story is to listen to what your psychic tells you! We all have a destiny planned for us!

Being part French I love that the cards I use are based on the deck of Madame Lenormand. Nowadays they are called Titania’s Fortune Cards. Although I have heard them be referred to as Madame Lenormand cards and a Romany client of mine told me the Romany people call the deck “blunt cards”. She explained it is because they are very blunt in their meanings, leading to very clear, direct interpretations. I had never heard of this before meeting her, even after many years of tarot reading. It just goes to show that you can always learn more!

I prefer these cards to traditional tarot decks such as the Rider Waite. There are only 36 in a deck and personally I find the imagery of many tarot decks slightly macabre. My cards are bright and colourful. Images include the lily, bear, bird, fox, mountain, men, ladies and flowers.

Last year I was also given an unusual pack of Tarot cards with amazingly beautiful images on. This deck, the Spirit Song Tarot, is much more positive than the usual tarot deck. I have used these to support other readings and they are great for adding an extra level of detail to answer very specific questions. I like to save them for special occasions and the few times I  have used them they were very apt for the life situation my clients found themselves in.

Cards are only something I use as a tool. I always use my psychic abilities and spirit to read from. I love how my cards can guide my abilities and get straight to what the reading needs to deliver.
