How Planets Affect Us: A Look At The Moon and Mercury

Written by  | 28th April 2017

The Moon and all of the planets affect what we do and how we act. Women’s cycles are in tune with the Moon. Fertility and labor and delivery all seem to coincide with the cycles of the Moon. During a full moon, many women that are at full term in their pregnancies go into labor. Some say this is because of the gravitational pull of the Moon to the human body which is 80 percent water, just as the Moon affects the tides This is why it would affect menstruation and ovulation as well. This is referred to as the Lunar Effect. A lot of people believe this to be a myth, but others believe this to be true. Just as emergency rooms are fuller when there is a full moon, and there are more homicides, the werewolf effect. Nonetheless, these situations are occurring during the Full Moon. I give clients a moonstone when they are trying to conceive. This is supposed to help with fertility issues.

Just as the Moon affects our minds and bodies, Mercury affects are communication. So, when the planet Mercury goes retrograde communication becomes blocked, mixed and affected. We can see this with tech situations, such as phones, computers and machinery. Transportation can be delayed as well. During a Mercury retrograde it is best to read contracts and important papers over more than once and to allow for delays in all kinds of situations as the retrograde seems to cause delays because of miscommunication and blocks that occur during this time.

It is best to work on things already in motion when Mercury is retrograde and start new projects when Mercury is direct. Mercury is retrograde right now and will be until May 3, 2017. It went retrograde on April 9, 2017. The next Mercury retrograde occurs on August 12 through September 5, 2017 and the first one occurred December 19, 2016 through January 8, 2017. Mercury retrogrades occur three times a year at different times each year and a lot of times you may notice things going wrong, not working right and delays which all seem to happen when the planet Mercury is retrograde.

The planets affect each of us in different ways, depending on our charts. For a deeper look at how the planets affect you and those close to you, let us take a look at your charts.
