You are simply going for something where you feel more enlightened and going with a gut feeling. This is because the past has been unsatisfactory and you've always worked towards a material gain. This time your going for something more spiritual and you're following your own gut feeling, which does mean you had to take a u turn. Instead of sticking to the tried and tested way, you're branching out into something different based on your traditional morals and realizing there is more to life than material gain.
