The Devil is a card that suggests that you are tied by emotional binds where you feel unable to make any moves and that you are feeling dominated by certain people or circumstances surrounding you. It's like an emotional bondage, but it is important for you to realise that there is always something you can do, no matter how small, to change your current circumstances. The Devil is also a card of temptation. The temptation here is with the Page of Cups. It's showing that you are involved with some small love affair or romance. Perhaps your vivid imagination has run away with you and allowed you to become involved with someone who is slightly more immature that you are looking for. This dreamy person has either got a crush or is infatuated with you and you're trying to dream up new ideas to reinvent some excitement into your life. Perhaps the attraction was the flamboyant nature of this person. Although this may be a short lived emotional encounter which involves the physical side, you have to be realistic: if you play with fire you may get your fingers burned. Perhaps you were looking to increase your sense of fun or your reputation and were hoping to go up with some status in the world, but the Devil is all about temptation and addiction. It does indeed deal with sexual needs and the desire to be a little bit naughty but being physical and materialistic usually involves temptation to be too greedy. It's time to be a little bit more diligent and dutiful. You've got to show the people how responsible and reliable you can be in order for them to take you seriously. You've got to take your obligations seriously and be careful not to get bogged down with too much ambition. Some would say that you are slower at acquiring experience and that you're definitely good at enduring failure. You've got to be a little bit more astute and worldly. After all - are you that hard to fool? It's all down to this powerful longing to break free and to explore much more imaginative realms but it causes you to lose your self control. Deep down you know you have a deep sense of responsibility towards your family and the past. This is what's encouraging your pursuit of pleasure - good old simple fun - but be careful. Is it an addiction or are you just being greedy?
