Your old patterns of behaviour are no longer viable or valid. You're being given the chance to change things of your own accord. If you're honest you know that a total transformation of your image and your identity and the way that you live your life is really necessary and that the past is no longer productive. It shows that you've reached the end of a chapter and it's time to begin again but you need to look back and think things through, look at the past and thing with the satisfaction of knowing that you did everything you could and to feel proud of your achievements. You may have struggled, got things wrong, suffered, muddled through, but it's all part of a phase of life.
