As a young girl, I knew I was different. I had an imaginary friend named Humphrey, whom I later discovered not to be imaginary at all, he was one of my spirit guides. It took me many years to realise this and embrace him as a guide. I always thought there was something wrong with me, I was abnormal. However, I was just unaware that my family had a long history spanning many generations of having a gift, one that can be used to help other people.
I received my first deck of tarot cards when I was just 13 years old, they were a gift from my Mum at Christmas, mostly because I begged her to get them for me. Immediately I played with the cards, looked at the images and developed the meanings in my head. I did not need a book, I wanted to be unique.
Today 18 years from the time I got my first deck, I can now divinate the tarot in a way that most people understand. The truth always comes out when I flip the cards for someone. With the assistance of Humphrey and my other guides, I help others. No child dreams of growing up to become a reader, I always dreamt of becoming a nurse to help others. After accepting my gift, I have realised that this is how I was intended to help people.
After many years of doing this, I now know that this is my calling. My life path has brought me to the place that I am supposed to be. My mission is to help others to gain clarity on their own life situations, and perhaps help others understand and develop gifts they may have as well. Through meditation and communication with my guides, this has been an easy gift to accept. If you are reading this and you feel you may have a gift, follow that thought and work to develop it, because you too could be meant to help others with lightwork.
